Lois takes a turn in the GP One Lois and I came up to Manapouri for the weekend and since Murray Hagen had finished flying off the 2-hour testing requirement for CAA, both of us got flights in our new Skyleader GP One.
Lois got a 'tiki tour' of the Manapouri and Te Anau area, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She claimed that she felt safer in the GP One (even while out over the lake), than she does in our self-righting 8.2m trailer yacht.
During my two flights, Murray made me work. I had to do heaps of landings and take-offs. The GP One flies very smoothly and to turn only requires a gentle touch on the rudder and aileron. I was very impressed by its performance and how roomy it is compared with an Alpi 200 or Jabiru.
