Assemble wings + run the Engine

Thursday evening we loaded the GP One onto a flat-bed trailer and transported it 5 km to the Invercargill Airport. The instructors staying overnight at Southern Wings flight training school gathered round to help unload and push it into their big hangar.

On Saturday my mate and I fitted the wings, then assembled the elevators to the stabiliser. On Sunday, I had planned to fly, but the wet and miserable weather did not cooperate. By Sunday afternoon the cloud base had lifted to only 400 feet above ground level, so what could be better than to do an extended engine run.
