Hopefully this is a smooth and quick process. Skyleader have recently got the SL 500 approved in Australia as a Light Sport Aircraft (LSA). They have applied for the SL 600 to be approved in USA. They are confident that their ASTM documentation meets the CAA requirements, but we have agreed to start several months early to allow for unforeseen delays.
If all goes to plan, this will mean that the GP One, SL 600, SL 500 and SL 400 Skyleader models will all be approved for use in NZ as both Microlights or LSA, with the SL 100 approved as a single-seat Microlight.
